Transport Accident commision (TAC)

We are an approved TAC provider and provide Outreach and Attendant care services to clients after an accident. Recovering from transport accident injuries can be challenging. Your recovery is the most important thing, so you can achieve your goals and continue moving forward in life.

Our services include support in the home with a range of daily tasks, but can also include access to community, shopping assistance, and transport to and from therapy. Crest Support will also take the time to understand your situation and your family’s schedule, so your care is exactly what you need.

Crest Support works closely with the client and funder to develop plans that are integral to meeting the goals of the client. We understand that everyone’s goals are different and the rate at which they will be achieved will vary from person to person. These could be rehabilitation goals or ongoing goals relating to independent living. All our services are available on a one-off, on-call, short-term or long-term basis. We understand that even small gains can increase motivation, confidence and emotional wellbeing and our staff are here to help you every step along the way.

Our TAC services include:

  • Post-acute care or attendant care support such as personal care, transferring in and out of bed, or helping you move around your home after a stay in hospital
  • TAC home services such as housework, laundry, cleaning and preparing meals. Our carers will support you with daily living tasks as you recover, and are able to take on tasks for yourself
  • Supported accommodation in a safe and warm environment, if you find it difficult to live independently without help
  • Disability service to help you build your skills, engage with the community and increase your independence
  • 24-hour care if you have special requirements and need round the clock support to help you stay safe during the recovery process

Crest Support is a TAC registered provider; this means we are required to meet stringent practice and compliance standards and adhere to a strict code of conduct. This gives clients, their families, allied health teams and referrers peace of mind.
