At Crest Support, we provide comprehensive In-Home Support, Out of Home Care in Melbourne as well as emergency and crisis care for young people and their families.

Because of our expertise in family services across Victoria, we can take on your most challenging cases. We have experience with young people who have:

• absconded

• self-harmed or had suicidal ideation

• caused excessive property damage

• threatened and/or assaulted carers

• been or are affected by drugs

• had hospital stays.

Whether they enter our care voluntarily or through a court-mandated order, Crest Support has passionate and dedicated professional carers, well-versed in trauma-informed care and are quick to identify their needs. We ensure these young individuals receive everything necessary for safer, healthier, and more secure lives.

Targeted care packages

Crest Support provides Targeted Care Packages (TCP) through funding and approval from the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH). The purpose of the Targeted Care Packages (TCP’s) is to enable the transition of eligible children and young people from residential care to more suitable care arrangements, where their overall needs will be better met. Alternative placements which could be considered as part of the package include placements with parents and family/friends. Our goal with TCPs is to create a safe and secure environment where children and young people can thrive. This stability allows them to pursue their personal goals and participate in daily activities essential for their healthy development.

Who Can Benefit from a TCP?

Two groups may be eligible for a Targeted Care Package:

1. Children and young people at risk of entering residential care.
2. Children and young people currently in residential care.

Eligibility is for those under a Child Protection order, and referrals to Crest Support are made exclusively through DFFH. More information about this is found here.
